Swapner Mofossol, an organisation of school students, has distributed 200 jam (black plum) saplings at Naogaon KD Government High School.

The saplings were handed out on the school grounds at 12 noon on Tuesday (13 August).

The distribution event was presided over by Swapner Mofossol president Sultan Shahria Shafi, with the school's assistant headmaster Abdur Razzak as chief guest.

Assistant teachers Mosaddequl Haque Anik and Abdur Rouf Khan were special guests. Members of the organisation Tasin, Nirob Sardar, Al Wasi, Abu Zar Gifari, Salman Farsi and Abdullah Al Riad were also present.

Sultan Shahria Shafi said: "Our aim is to raise school students as tree lovers."

The organisation's adviser, Soyeb Ahmed Siam, said Swapner Mofossol was started by school students on 23 July 2022. It works on first aid, food distribution, tree planting, clean-up drives and other activities for students' positive development. "We hope for even better things ahead, Inshallah," he said.
