Fields are being readied for winter vegetables and fishing goes on in the rivers and canals. Prothom Alo's district photographers caught farms, fields and nature on 8 October.
At Kamarkhali in Madhukhali, Faridpur, a man hangs jute fibre to dry on the railing of the Gorai bridge, and at Boalia a man sets off on a misty morning to sell bottle gourds from his own vine (photos: Alimuzzaman). At Tengra in Sreepur, Gazipur, bitter gourds hang from a farmer's trellis, and at Bartopa a lone pond heron stands watch (photos: Sadiq Mridha).
At Madhusudanpur in Paba, Rajshahi, Imran Mondal tends cauliflower and tomato seedlings for the winter crop (photo: Shahidul Islam). At Dolupara in Bandarban a Marma woman weeds a brinjal field, and at Bhangabridge another woman drives a herd of cattle to pasture (photos: Mong Hai Sing Marma).
