LivestockDominican Republic reopens to Canadian beef after a 23-year BSE ban
The CFIA says the Caribbean country restored access on 11 September for beef and offal from cattle of all ages, 8,515 days after closing its border in May 2003; JBS and Cargill in Alberta and Tru North Foods in Manitoba are approved to ship to a market that imported about $215m of beef in 2025.
