FruitsTamluk farmers turn waterlogged paddy fields over to water chestnut
With depressions and heavy rain leaving fields flooded and rice rotting, farmers in Tamluk block, West Bengal, have switched to water chestnut, harvesting one to one and a half quintals per katha and selling at Rs 40 to 50 a kilo.
