These are the nature, farm and village pictures from Prothom Alo's daily glimpse of 4 October, taken by its photographers around the country.
At Rangadwip in Katachhari, Rangamati, stinking passion flowers (jhumkolata) bloom in bright colours, and at Mountaineering Valley the sun rises red and yellow through a cloudy sky after rain. Both pictures are by Supriyo Chakma.
At the safari park in Sreepur, Gazipur, a pair of hornbills sit side by side on an enclosure rail (photo: Sadiq Mridha). At Gopalbari in Bogura a heron waits for prey, and at Ulipur a farmer grazes his cattle in a field under a hot sun (photos: Soel Rana).
At Parshuram in Rangpur an amateur angler heads out to fish a pond, and at Khatkhatia two pupils walk to school on a foggy morning (photos: Moinul Islam).
At Nurnagar ghat in Chatmohar, Pabna, dry straw is carried by boat to be sold, and on the riverbank a man rests on a bamboo platform under a tree (photos: Hasan Mahmud).
The photographs were published in Prothom Alo's glimpse of 4 October 2026; the descriptions here are our own. The cover picture is an illustrative photograph of a passion flower.
