PRAN Group, one of the country's leading industrial companies, is set to honour journalists who work on agriculture and the agro-processing sector. The 'Bangladesh Agro-Industry Media Award' will be presented to journalists on the occasion.

The award ceremony will be held on Saturday (6 June) in the conference room of the Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) at Police Plaza Concord in Gulshan, Dhaka.

Information and Broadcasting Minister Zahir Uddin Swapan will attend as chief guest and hand the awards to the winners.

PRAN Group said the initiative will reward journalists for the best reports of last year (2025) on agriculture and the agro-processing sector in three categories: print, online and television.

The best reports to be rewarded cover sustainable systems for modern farming and marketing, quality farm produce and integrated farming, the growth of agro-processing for the benefit of farming and farmers, progress, innovation, problems and prospects in agriculture and agro-processing, new investment and employment, the supply chain of the agro-processing sector, and its exports.
