The King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives has published a historical map that marks the places in Madinah where the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) offered prayers.
The foundation said the work falls under a programme of Saudi Vision 2030, as part of documenting and presenting the sites and landmarks of the earliest period of Islam.
Madinah is the second holiest city in Islamic history. After the migration from Makkah, the Prophet established the Prophet's Mosque there and spent the last decade of his life in the city.
According to the foundation, a map of this kind makes the historical geography of the city easier for researchers and general readers to follow, and gives visitors a reliable source of information.
