At Joyka in Karimganj, Kishoreganj, farmer Fazlur Rahman tends his tomatoes. He has planted 550 seedlings on one katha of land and hopes to earn up to Tk 150,000 if the harvest is good (photo: Tafsilul Aziz). At Sukhpara in Abhaynagar, Jashore, a farmer tends a betel vineyard, and at Bashuari cucumbers fresh from the field have been brought to market (photos: Saddam Hossain).
At Chemidolu Natun Para in Bandarban a man carries a crate of papayas from the orchard across a bamboo bridge, and at Bakichhara Madhyampara a woman cleans taro from the field and puts it in a basket (photos: Mong Hai Sing Marma). In Rangamati the kunjalata flower is in bloom at Furmon Para, and boats are being repaired at Puranpara (photos: Supriyo Chakma).
