Prothom Alo's 'Glimpse' photo page for 5 October, made by its photographers and correspondents around the country, included several scenes from fields, orchards and markets.

At Telihata in Gabtali, Bogura, a farmer is busy cutting ripe Aus rice. Along a paved village road in the same area, a few men carry paddy on a van to the market.

In Rangpur, sales of date palm sap have started early this year. A picture taken at New Engineerpara shows a man who collected sap in a village in the morning and brought it to town to sell.

At Katachhari in Rangamati, haritaki (Terminalia chebula) trees hang heavy with clusters of fruit, known as a forest medicine and much in demand. At Chelchhara, also in Rangamati, yellow canna is in flower; it blooms from the monsoon into autumn.

The same page carried pictures of World Teachers' Day processions and of clothing traders at Daudkandi, which are not part of this report. The photographs can be seen in Prothom Alo's photo section; the cover here is an openly licensed picture of a yellow canna.
