Tigers and bears gone from Sherpur's Garo Hills, wild elephants remain

Tigers, bears, deer and fishing cats once roamed the Garo Hills of Nalitabari, Jhenaigati and Sreebardi; with the forest shrinking they are no longer seen, and wild elephants now come down to farmland in search of food.
