Most of the pictures Prothom Alo's photographers took around the country on 19 October caught a late-autumn (hemanta) morning: light mist, fields wet with dew, and work in the fields. Here they are, described in our own words.
At Bhuter Tila in Rangamati, yardlong bean vines are in flower (photo: Supriya Chakma). In Bogura's Nuruil beel a farmer works his field in the dawn light, and in a bean field on the same beel dew has gathered on the flowers and pods (photos: Soel Rana).
At Ratirampur in Rangpur, labourers carry soil from far off for use in betel leaf gardens, and at Manthana people head to work through light mist and soft sunshine (photos: Moinul Islam).
At Shimujechhara in Rangamati a young hill man walks to work along a path through dew-wet paddy (photo: Supriya Chakma). At Betchharapara in Bandarban, hill women cut rice in the morning light, and a woman walks a field path with her granddaughter on a misty morning (photos: Mong Hai Sing Marma).
At Islampur in Sylhet, golden sunlight falls on dew-soaked paddy as a few labourers walk past, and in the same area a road lies under light morning mist (photos: Anis Mahmud). One picture from the day's round, of a football game in Khulna, has been left out.
